Emily Strayer

Emily spent her childhood in central Indiana and grew into an adult in Minneapolis, where she met her husband and lived for 11 years. She worked in leadership positions at Whole Foods Market fine tuning her customer service skills, supporting team member development and integrating system efficiencies.  After the birth of her first daughter, she felt a pull to work with families during the transformational time of growing their family and began her training as a birth doula, lactation counselor and was a founding board member of Twin Cities Doula Project.  In the summer of 2015, she and her family moved to Munster, IN where they now live about 30 minutes outside of Chicago. Since spring of 2018, Emily has been the office manager for a Twin Cities home birth practice.  She believes there is something very special about the birth community of the cities and is grateful to continue to stay connected to it, even states away.
