Jenni Tilson, CNM, WHNP-BC
Born and raised in the Ozarks of southern Missouri, Jenni found her passion for midwifery through her early nursing career and time spent abroad in India. As a pediatric long-term care nurse, she saw the difference that prenatal care and education can make in outcomes for children, and in her encounters overseas she learned the need, value, and importance of truly being “with you”—the essence of midwifery.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2009 and after working a few years as a registered nurse, Jenni received her Masters with a dual focus in Midwifery and Women’s Health from Georgetown University in 2014.
With a strong belief that the health of mothers determines the health of communities, she has made it her goal to educate and empower them to know their bodies, be aware of choices that impact their health, and feel informed and confident to make the best decisions for themselves. She enjoys partnering with clients from adolescence through menopause to meet their needs and achieve their goals.
Special interests include teens, mental health, natural family planning, and being present during labor. In her work with babies, she counts it an honor to be trusted with the care of one of life’s most precious gifts and a privilege to witness birth—a most sacred and meaningful event for a growing family.
She lives with her son, William and their Great Dane-Shephard dog, Oliver. She takes pleasure in traveling, baking pies, a strong cup of coffee, and long walks with her family.
