From the day I was old enough to hold a baby doll, I knew I would be in the birth world someway, somehow. I began my journey by setting out to follow in my mom's footsteps; as an OB nurse, she had instilled a love of birth and labor in me from the beginning. But as I navigated through nursing classes, I decided maybe this "science" thing wasn't for me, so I searched for a way that I could still help people (hopefully within labor and delivery, somehow). I ended up landing on Relational Communications at Bethel University, where I just matriculated last December. While I was pursuing my degree, I happened to Google "labor and delivery in the Twin Cities", and Willow popped up, so I went out on a limb and emailed Lauren at the clinic. I told her all about my story, passions, and goals, and to my delight she said she had a position available at the front desk. It felt almost like it was designed for me. I am so happy to be involved with expectant and new parents! It has been so fun to watch parents, babies, and families grow together, all at the same time. Building relationships which each person who walks into the office brings me so much joy.

Outside of Willow, I spend a few days each week watching my husband finish up his senior year playing basketball at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul. I also have a one-year-old mini Labradoodle puppy, Jayda, who keeps me very busy. When I’m not in the Twin Cities, you’ll find me in northwest Iowa visiting my family. My newest interest is a developing hobby in knitting.
