PRECONCEPTION PLANNING
When you are trying to become pregnant, your Willow midwife can help you understand your menstrual cycle and your optimal fertility days. Understanding how your cycle works, where your fertility window is and the changes in your cycle you can anticipate (if you are discontinuing hormonal birth control) is helpful for conceiving a pregnancy. Your pre-conception health assessment includes a discussion about nutrition, optimal weight, mental health, sexuality, exercises to consider and to avoid, supplements, infectious disease prevention and genetic history considerations. Sometimes blood testing is indicated before you become pregnant and blood testing is always a part of your prenatal wellness care.
Willow Midwives offers genetic testing to help you determine your genetic carrier status, and to identify potential chromosome disorders of your children.
